We had quite an eventful Christmas season! It started out with the Jordan family Christmas on Sunday night. We had the whole crew at my in-laws' house, hungry, and ready to open presents. This was the first year that Jack was truly aware of who Santa Claus was and what it meant to be a "good boy". He was asking if it was Christmas every single day, steadily ready to pounce on the gifts. He even got to help hand out gifts this year. You can see from the smiles on his face just how much he enjoyed it all.

Santa visited Camp Jordan early Christmas morning. Skylar and I were surprised we actually had to end up waking the boys, but it didn't take long for the guys to recognize that there were new presents around the tree. Jack and Cooper loved EVERYTHING, but the Chuggington train set was the obvious favorite of the day. I absolutely love to watch them play together being boys as they build the tracks.

Santa brought Jack and Daddy an airplane kit. It came complete with tools to build it. This was so fun to watch. |
Santa also brought a late afternoon gift of ice and snow. The ice came early afternoon, and the BLIZZARD came right before dusk. Unfortunately, the snow took our power with it. There is nothing that can take away the specialness and fun out of a White Christmas like a freezing cold house without power. The boys didn't even really get to play in the snow because we were worried we wouldn't be able to warm them up. We did get out for a little bit in the morning. As cold as it was, it was absolutely beautiful. Didn't feel much like Little Rock!

Coop cursing the snow (Not really!) And making his way back to the house. Jack actually loved it this year! |
We were without power for a couple of days until we gave in and bought a generator. Right before we got home with it, my neighbor called to let me know that our power was back on. As bad as it was, we were one of the lucky families. We had several friends who were without for up to 7 days! That is just crazy! The snow/power outage delayed our plans of getting to Louisiana for Christmas with the Haley's. Two days late, we journeyed to Ruston to celebrate with my family.
