A new chapter begins...

We were scheduled for surgery to meet Cooper at 2:30pm on Thursday, September 23. The doctor called us the day before and suggested we get there early for the possibility of an earlier surgery time. So we took a couple of last pictures and geared up for our stay in the hospital.

So after seeing this picture, maybe I understand a few of the comments that were sent my way. Holy cow!

Our last picture as a family of three...

I was wheeled off to surgery somewhere between 2 and 2:30pm. It's still so surreal to be awake for a c-section. At one point my doctor said to me, "I'm about to put your uterus back inside you." WHOA!

Cooper Benjamin Jordan entered this world at exactly 2:30pm on September 23, 2010 weighing 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measuring 20 in in length. Just a little shorter and heavier than Jack Andrew. He is beautiful, healthy, and amazingly good.

And that's the story of how the 3 of us became four.

We'll have to get a better picture of the whole family. But we have a lifetime of those to come. Skylar and I were talking just last night about how blessed we are to have these two in our lives. We know the time will pass quickly (Just look at how big Jack is now!) so we're trying to savor every minute. Thank you to all our friends and family who helped us celebrate.
