Took this cute guy for dinner at Firehouse Subs.
We call this Doritos-face.
Then later we had this conversation:
Cooper: Mommy...(tearing up) Where did the Christmas trees go?
Me: (Sympathizing with my child and acknowledging his feelings like the books say to do) Awww...you're sad. (I kneel down and give him a hug.) We put the trees up.
Cooper: But, but, why? (Almost in full tears)
Me: Because it's not Christmas time anymore. (Still sympathizing with my precious sad child.) I know that can be sad because the trees were so fun.
Cooper: But, but...I want...(wait for it)...I want...juice.
Me: Oh, okay. That's different. I'll get you juice.
The kid is fine now.
